Aries 

Mother type: The Aries mother is strict but fair. Disobedience is not tolerated. Sometimes she is highly volatile and can get very rowdy. However, she is very intuitive, so she quickly knows if and what is wrong with her children. She is also very protective and sometimes a bit too meddlesome out of good intentions. Warmth and affection the Aries mother shows often and gladly: cuddling!

Ideal partner: Aries mother is quick to snap out of it. Especially when there are hassles with the children, she sometimes knows how hard to keep her composure. Full of good intentions, she does just the things that are not convenient. At such times, it is nice to have a calm partner beside her who knows how to keep her cool, such as a protective Cancer.

Child click: With Gemini, Leo and Sagittarius, Aries mother gets along fine. Although she likes to keep a finger on the pulse, she admires their independence. With Taurus, Cancer and Pisces, relations are more difficult. Aries mother sometimes inadvertently waltzes over them. Yet she also learns a lot from these quiet children who, in turn, sometimes correct her in her impulsiveness.

Taurus 

Type of mother: The Taurus mother is very caring and effortlessly divides her love and attention among several children. Even if one child needs more care, she makes sure the others don't lack anything in terms of attention either. Her children can get everything from her, as long as they deserve it in her eyes. If she is taken for a ride, she does not hesitate to withdraw their privileges. She likes to cuddle.

Ideal partner: Taurus mother tends to solve all problems for her child and interfere in everything. In doing so, she sometimes actually makes things worse than they are. At such times it is nice to have a partner beside her who can put things into perspective better, such as a thoughtful Scorpio.

Child click: With a Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio or Capricorn child, there is a huge click. They have a lot in common in terms of character which makes them well able to relate to each other. With Aries or Sagittarius, there is more often friction, given their boisterous nature which Taurus mother has quite the hands on. The Libra child will become increasingly critical as he gets older, also towards his mother.

Gemini 

Mother type: The Gemini mother raises her children as freely as possible. She herself needed a lot of freedom as a child, so she allows her offspring the same. As a result, the children may start exploring their own boundaries to see how far they can go, making things quite restless at home. Gemini mother is not a real cuddler, she shows her love more in other ways.

Ideal partner: Although Gemini mother is very strong communicator, she does not always come across well in unexpected situations. At such times, she talks before she thinks and only then thinks about what she has said. It would be nice then to have someone beside her who can keep her in check for a while until she calms down a bit, such as a decisive Capricorn.

Children's click: With Gemini, Virgo, Libra and Sagittarius children, things are absolutely fine. They have similar interests and often understand each other without words. The Cancer child sometimes needs more physical contact than mum can give him, Scorpio is a bit capricious so mum needs to adapt to him. Pisces child especially needs structure and grip, which Gemini mother cannot always give him.

Lobster 

Mother type: The Cancer mother is intuitive and therefore protective. Precisely because she often knows in advance whether her children are in danger or will do naughty things herself, she is on top of things. She does give them enough freedom to discover things for themselves but never without keeping an eye on them. Despite setting her limits, she is a real cuddly mother.

Ideal partner: Although Cancer mother can get hugely worked up over trivialities, she is suddenly calm in unexpected situations. She knows how to keep her cool and do exactly the right things. In the moments when she makes a mountain out of a molehill, she needs someone who can offer her a time-out by taking care of the children for a while, such as a caring Leo.

Children's click: With Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces children, things are going great. They almost have a telepathic bond. For good measure, mother should let the Pisces child 'swim' a bit more. With Libra it also clicks fine, though they are quite different. With Gemini, Leo, Sagittarius, it's tricky. They love each other dearly but these children grow up quickly and know how to unerringly upset mum.

Leo 

Mother type: The Leo mother is a pure educator. She knows a lot and never misses a moment to teach her children all kinds of things. Because she also wants to continue to develop herself, she is not often at home, but will provide good childcare. In terms of safety, the Lion mother has high standards. A safe home, a child-friendly environment, no wrong friends, she is on top of things. Lion mothers are very affectionate, sometimes even a little 'too'.

Ideal partner: Leo mother is very intuitive and often knows instinctively when her help is wanted. Not only for her own children, she also likes to be there for others. As she is sometimes inclined to take everyone's suffering on her shoulders, it is nice if she has a partner who can protect her from herself in that respect, for instance an alert Aquarius.

Child click: With Aries, Sagittarius and Aquarius, Leo mother goes well together. They don't always agree but have a lot in common. Libra easily winds mother around the finger with its charm, Pisces likes to be protected by her. Scorpio never admits his mother is right and for Virgo she sets the bar (often unnoticed) very high.

Virgo  

Mother type: The Virgo mother is very strict and prides herself on having the best-behaved children. Although she imposes quite a few rules on her children, she will also not hesitate to reward them richly when they behave, usually in the form of something sweet or a present. Cuddling the Virgo mother also does but mostly at unexpected moments.

Ideal partner: Virgo mother sometimes takes things very personally, making her unnecessarily defensive. Because she wants to protect her children from everything and everyone, she tries to stay ahead of everything, causing turmoil. A partner who can keep calm is highly desirable at such times, for example a contemplative Sagittarius.

Child click: With Virgo and Capricorn, the Virgo mother is two hands in one; they are as ambitious as she is. With Gemini, she can have a huge laugh. Leo child is almost a copy of mother which can cause rivalry later on. Nevertheless, they are super proud of each other. Libra child is very social which means the somewhat closed Virgo also learns to open up more.

Libra  

Mother type: The Libra mother attaches great importance to how their offspring appears to others. As such, her children are brought up nicely and always look to pass muster. On the other hand, she cares very little if they are late for dinner; as long as they have fun. The Libra mother likes to cuddle her children, but especially when they are still small.

Ideal partner: Libra mother can at times be quite loud in voicing her opinion or otherwise attracting attention in public. It is nice if she has a partner who is not afraid to give her a poke in the side as a silent hint. A discerning Virgo could do this well.

Children's click: With Aries and Sagittarius children, relations are excellent although mum sometimes holds her heart because of their impulsive actions. Leo is very protective of mother and not infrequently takes on the 'parental role' at puberty. Libra child says yes and amen but meanwhile draws its own plan. Gemini is great fun. Scorpio knows mother's weak spots and invariably knows how to flatter her to get his way.

Scorpio 

Mother type: Norms and values are paramount for the Scorpio mother. She strongly dislikes rudeness or rudeness. She also finds it important that children learn their responsibilities early on. Doing chores around the house is part of this. The Scorpio mother certainly does cuddle, often in the form of encouragement for good behaviour.

Ideal partner: Scorpio mother is sometimes father and mother at the same time and incredibly tough. When there are arguments or unrest, she does not hide her opinion. Things also go well with Gemini because mother and child share the same interests and complement each other well in this respect. Virgo is as critical as mum (yes about her too). Libra brings calmness but with Sagittarius, mother sometimes slams on the brakes, she thinks he is far too impulsive and gullible.

Sagittarius 

Mother type: The Sagittarius mother sometimes struggles with setting boundaries. All she wants is for her children to feel free and be happy, which is why she prefers to forbid them as little as possible. Lies are definitely not tolerated. The Sagittarius mother finds lying worse than being naughty. She prefers to give hugs herself rather than receive them. She also often expresses her love through jokes or teasing.

Ideal partner: Because she likes to get it all right, Sagittarius mother sometimes acts more from her intellect than from her feelings. As a result, she can sometimes come across as unintentionally cool, making the children feel misunderstood. At such times, there is a great need for a parent who is sociable and can empathise well with both parties, such as a mediating Libra.

Child click: With Aries, Gemini and Leo, Sagittarius mother has a deep bond. They sometimes have disagreements but are proud of each other. Libra is obedient and takes a lot from mum. Sagittarius and Aquarius are as enterprising as mum so they always have something to say to each other. Pisces child tries to emulate mum in independence although he does not always succeed. As he gets older this improves.

Capricorn  

Mother type: The Capricorn mother likes to see her children well behaved and obedient. In this, she sometimes tends to go a bit overboard and the children wish she would let go of the reins a bit more often. Despite her protective and corrective attitude, she is always in for a joke. The Capricorn mother is both a hugging and playing mother. Frolicking, tickling, tagging; she does it all.

Ideal partner: When Capricorn mum's children have an argument with each other or with someone at school or in the neighbourhood, mum is immediately on edge. She is the last one to immediately take sides with someone without knowing what is going on, though. While mum investigates, the children find a listening ear in a protective Taurus.

Child click: The restless Aries child finds peace with mother; she teaches him patience and perseverance. Taurus and Cancer feel very safe with her. Leo does everything to get her attention, fishing for compliments which she lovingly gives him. Libra sees mother as a great role model. She has some trouble with Sagittarius because he sometimes gets overexcited and she cannot always calm him down.

Aquarius  

Mother type: The Aquarius mother herself is very attached to her freedom and will ultimately not suffer from empty nest syndrome. On the other hand, her children's safety is paramount and all possible measures are taken to ensure this as long as the children live at home. Showing affection does not bother the Aquarius mother at all as long as it does not get too clingy.

Ideal partner: Aquarius mother can cause considerable panic at set times. Even when virtually nothing is going on, mum can make a huge fuss as if a disaster has just occurred. By warning her children about everything, she can scare or frighten them unnecessarily. Someone who can hold her accountable for this is the stern but righteous Aries.

Child click: With Aries, Gemini and Aquarius, mother likes to go out and explore new things. Leo needs more protection, mother is really his heroine. Calm Capricorn learns creative thinking from mum. Although the Pisces child needs guidance, he usually does not find it with his mother who is rather chaotic herself. She has trouble with the little Aquarius because of his stubborn nature.

Fish 

Mother type: The Pisces mother is proud as a peacock of her offspring and does everything to encourage them in the things they enjoy and are good at. However, she sometimes tends to patronise her children. She absolutely does not restrict their freedom. On the contrary, discipline is sometimes hard to find. The Pisces mother is not very affectionate but very indulgent.

Ideal partner: Pisces mother is the most relaxed conversationalist ever at times when her children seriously need help or advice. On the other hand, she subconsciously keeps her children small by taking everything off their hands. At such times, it is nice to have an independent Gemini beside her to teach the 'spoilt pooches' more independence.

Child click: The Scorpio child can be jealous and possessive where Mum is concerned. Mum in turn knows everything about her child, also sometimes trying to hide something. Sagittarius deals with things that mum knows nothing about and may not understand. Aquarius loves his mother dearly but sometimes finds her a crybaby. Virgo is very organised, mum could learn a thing or two from that.
