Psychological slimming

Psychological weight loss with tarot cards. Without a diet! It shouldn't get any crazier. Just shoot me in a pudding! Yet it is less circus than you might initially think!

The slimming programme you will find in the slimming blog is excellent to combine with tarot cards. For those not interested in this: the programme is also fine without cards.

For those who do like to lose weight using the tarot cards and are willing to use them as a coach, at the bottom of this page is the complete overview of the meanings of the tarot in relation to psychological weight loss. Fine if you draw your own cards from your tarot deck at home and want to put them on display at home or at work by way of constant reminder.

Very suitable as slimming coach cards are the Tattooed Tarot and the Rider Waite Tarot. These are the cards I also use myself for this purpose.

The Tattooed Tarot can be found >HERE

The Rider Waite Tarot can be found >HERE

Prefer to draw a coach card online daily or weekly? You can >HERE.

For those who are not yet really familiar with the tarot, here is a brief explanation first. Those who don't need the how and why, but just want to go straight to the bite-sized weight-loss advice, can scroll straight through to the bottom.

You can find a fine nutritional support schedule (not a diet!)  >HERE.

Psychological slimming

Although the tarot is used by many as a spiritual tool, apart from that I see it mainly as a psychological tool. And nay, the tarot is NOT the 'devil's picture book', nor does it have anything to do with witchcraft, but about that please another time.

The Tarot consists of 78 images, each with its own story. Although there are some dark cards among them, they often actually have a positive meaning. Despite this, many people are still put off by the first impression.

With a view to interpreting all the cards, there are guidelines, the so-called basic meanings, but the fact remains that everyone perceives something different in the cards.

I therefore advise anyone who wants to learn to work with the tarot to follow their own feelings more than anything else while interpreting the cards.

The existing basic meanings are mainly a guideline. If you do not find yourself in these meanings at all, feel free to listen to your own intuition. There is always a reason why certain images give you 'that' feeling and why you react the way you do.

In a nutshell: any answer we are looking for regarding our own doubts, fears or insecurities is stored somewhere deep inside our brain.

Subconsciously, we have long since had an opinion, an idea or even the solution to every problem we struggle with. The problem is only that we are far from daring to face this answer. Therefore, we often choose to let the answer sit comfortably deep in our subconscious.

Subconscious

Now it just so happens that the tarot speaks the language of our subconscious! This is because the images speak - often literally - to the imagination. As a result, while 'confronting' a particular card, you may immediately have to think of something that is bothering you.

The image, as it were, triggers something in your brain, causing the answer to your question to be dug up directly from your subconscious.

This can be compared to the psychiatrist's Rorschach test (ink blot test). As soon as we are confronted with this, we immediately see 'something' in the stain that has to do with our past or with something that concerns us immensely in the present.

After all, everything we see, hear or read, we immediately relate to ourselves. This is because our brain is constantly looking for recognition.

Someone who lives a fairly simple life will see something different in a stain for this reason than someone who is constantly challenged by all sorts of things, and so it is with the images of the tarot.

So you can relate the Tarot to anything. On love issues, finances, questions about your career, spirituality, health and so also on the question: how do I reach my target weight? The tarot can reveal this answer for you too!

Indeed, it is an important answer to a question that has undoubtedly been on your mind for some time and to which you are deep down also do know the answer...

For those who like this theory and like the idea of visualising their own subconscious, tarot cards can be used as an extra backing tool when slimming down; as creative psychology with a spiritual touch.

I really recommend you try this, every day, every week, or just at the times you feel the need.

Coach

If you are willing to give it a try, draw a card from your tarot deck every day (or as you see fit). This card will give you an advice on what to pay extra attention to that day (or week) during your battle against the kilos.

The moment you see the image and read the meaning, these will be stored in your memory. From then on - whenever you do something that thwarts losing weight - you will be reminded of it, and you will automatically correct yourself.

For an even better effect, you would be wise to place the tarot card in question somewhere you will encounter it regularly.

Take the tarot's messages seriously, think about them carefully, and actually follow the advice you are given, as if your tarot deck is a stern yet righteous coach supporting and helping you in your battle against excess pounds.

When I draw a tarot card at the beginning of the week, and this card gives me advice, every now and then - while I am busy with other things - I often suddenly see that card in my mind again.

This provides me with great guidance. It motivates me to follow the advice obtained every time!

When I played volleyball in the promotion league as a 15-year-old girl, I had a coach like that too. He told me exactly what was going on, constantly pointed out my weaknesses, became furious when I threw a spanner in the works, but... was also really thrilled when I did get it right. The tarot has a similar effect with regard to slimming.

Compliments from a coach who is highly critical, but above all honest, are usually truly meant and therefore valuable. There is nothing that motivates me more than that and I sincerely hope the same applies to you.

Do you want to win this battle against the kilos? Do you want to beat excess weight? Then you will have to work! Bold! The tarot, my coach, my rock, critical and honest at all times, is what I really needed in this. And now it's your turn to bang!

How does it work?

  • Shuffle the cards with eyes closed while asking the question: 'What is important to me today (or 'this week') in relation to slimming down?'
  • Fan, still with eyes closed, the cards out on the table with the images facing down.
  • Open your eyes and pick up the first card that catches your eye, the first card that seems to 'call' you.
  • The card you have picked has an important message, tip or advice for you that is related to your battle against the kilos.

Since not everyone is able to transform the traditional basic meanings of the tarot into weight-loss advice, I have already transformed them for you.

Before you start working with the advice from the cards, let me give you this:

As long as you keep saying it is difficult, it will remain difficult!

The Cards

the tattooed tarot scarabeoThe slimming advice is written on The Rider Waite Tarot, but I personally think it is also very cool to use The Tattooed Tarot as coach cards. Despite missing Rider Waite symbolism on many of these cards, the meanings still seem to match the illustrations. The physical aspect of this deck makes it very suitable as a slimming tool. In short, I am extremely excited! The cards shown with the meanings below are from The Rider Waite Tarot.

Major Arcana

The Tarot consists of a major arcana and a minor arcana. Don't be frightened by this difficult word; arcana simply means 'secret' in Latin. So the major arcana reveals the big secrets of life (and the big changes that come with them) and the minor arcana points you to the little secrets (which we often learn through everyday worries). While the cards of the major arcana all have a title, the minor arcana is divided into four series: swords, bars, cups and coins (similar to the spades, clubs, hearts and diamonds of the regular card game).

slimming with tarotThe Fool

Symbolism: The Fool is at the beginning of his journey, although he faces an abyss he is not afraid. He trusts his his intuition and takes the plunge, confident that things will work out.

Advice for you: You are at the beginning, or feel you are still (still) at the beginning. Have faith; you have to start somewhere. Keep listening carefully to your gut and really only do that which is good for your body. Ignore that little voice inside you that says you have to eat the 'wrong' things to feel happy. All it will leave you with is guilt. And weight gain...

psychological slimmingThe Magician

Symbolism: The Magician is known as strong-willed, creative and initiative-rich. With these qualities, combined with the four elements depicted for him on the card, he can get anything done he wants.

Advice for you: You have started eating and living sensibly and healthily. You know what you want, and will be able to achieve it! Use your creativity in preparing healthy meals and responsible snacks. Use your willpower to stick with it this time! You are well on your way, believe in yourself, you are capable of much more than you thought possible! Willing is able!

psychological slimmingThe High Priestess

Symbolism: The High Priestess is known to be intuitive, patient, spiritual and wise. She is guided by her inner voice and therefore often acts at the right time. However, she is sometimes a bit passive.

Advice for you: Keep in mind that patience is a virtue. Nobody can lose ten kilos in a week in a healthy way.... if only it were true. Know that you will achieve more with patience than with an impatient attitude. Because you want it NOW (but this obviously doesn't happen), you may be more inclined to give up and give in to an unhealthy eating pattern again. That way, you will by no means lose weight! If necessary, try a little more exercise!

psychological slimmingThe Empress

Symbolism: The Empress is known as fertile, 'pregnant', creative, and is often associated with the birth of something new and its growth.

Advice for you: Conviviality knows no time. Conviviality also knows no 'stop'. Conviviality does know lots of tasty (often unhealthy) snacks and alcoholic refreshments. This card represents growth, but therefore also gaining weight. Make sure you continue your weight loss growth, and don't be tempted by tasty but fattening treats! Keep paying attention to your appearance, you will start looking better and better, keep up that progress! Take a walk, enjoy the outdoors. Exercise and vitamin D; you need it.

psychological slimmingThe Emperor

Symbolism: The Emperor is known as orderly, responsible, sober, decisive and strict. Sometimes he gets lost in this, but usually he manages to achieve his goal step by step. In any case, he knows how to set limits and thinks with his mind rather than his heart.

Advice for you: Order and discipline are not a luxury. Set clear limits for yourself, and live (and eat!) as regularly as possible. Step by step, you can reach your goal, provided you can be (even more) self-disciplined. Be strict with yourself, now is not the right time to 'sin for a while'. Sometimes that is indeed allowed. Not now! If you are already very well on track, it is important not to overdo things; balance!

psychological slimmingThe Hierophant

Symbolism: The Hierophant is known as the counselor, the coach, and is associated with sincerity, trust, values and good advice (from others).

Advice for you: Advice is needed. Seek support or help from someone you trust when you are at a loss for words. Call someone or visit someone. In the most serious cases, make an appointment with a doctor, dietician, sports instructor or psychologist, but often a good friend or parent can also be a great source of support. Maybe even better than you think. This card shows you that you are having a hard time and cannot do it alone or just need some extra advice. Maybe someone wants to go for a workout, walk or cycle with you? Or just chat to give you some encouragement. Don't be frustrated, everyone needs a helping hand now and then. Do try to do it yourself again afterwards!

psychological slimmingThe Beloved

Symbolism: Known as loving and binding, the Beloved is associated with following one's feelings, choosing one's own path, and overcoming adversity and disappointment.

Advice for you: You are doing well! You love your body, and you love the way you are getting better and better looking. You feel good and enjoy exercising, eating healthy and losing weight. You are fully behind it, all right! When faced with a choice concerning diet or exercise or something else, just choose what is best for you, what fits best with your new eating and living pattern. Don't be tempted except for love and sensuality, it will do you good. Love your body. If you feel beautiful you will radiate that to the outside world too!

psychological weight lossThe Zegewagen

Symbolism: The Zegewagen driver is known to be optimistic, strong-willed, decisive, open to new ventures and not afraid to turn his back on the old to move forward. He does tend to run past himself sometimes, though.

Advice for you: You know what you want, but you want it too fast. Stick to your schedule as much as possible, and try not to starve yourself or overload your body with extreme exercise. It is good to persevere, it is not good to overwork yourself. You are going well, but a little less fanatical is fine. You have yourself under control just fine. Don't overdo it; you will still improve by leaps and bounds.

psychological weight lossThe Force

Symbolism: The Force is known for its joie de vivre, attraction, passion, patience and willpower. The inner strength coming out. The Lion is tamed with patience and policy rather than aggression. Also, this is the card of fitness, good condition and ditto health.

Advice for you: Listen to your body, you intuitively know what is right for you. You are strong-willed and know how to sustain this new way of life. You feel good and this also radiates outwards. Finally, that strong person who has been inside you all this time is slowly but surely starting to come out, with all the (positive!) consequences! KEEP GOING!

Psychological slimmingThe Hermit

Symbolism: The Hermit is known as serious, wise, and is associated with the need to be alone for a while, to go his own way where he does not let himself be pushed or influenced by others, to reflect and gain self-knowledge. His light shines inwards rather than outwards; after all, that is where he finds all the answers.

Advice for you: Don't be confused by others who claim to know a 'better' diet or a 'better' way to lose weight. You are on the right path, and do well not to let yourself be rushed, pushed or influenced. Keep following this path, and just let others delude themselves that they invented weight loss. You will soon reach your target weight if you continue on this path, and not everyone will be able to imitate you. Stay yourself, say no to invitations that might tempt you, or go to them, but stay strong when you are offered tasty, but fattening, snacks and/or drinks. This is a good time to do everything at your own pace and in your own way without well-meaning advice (or pedanticism) from others. Go for a nice workout, walk or bike ride on your own too. Or just stay at home.

psychological weight lossWheel of Fortune

Symbolism: The Wheel is known as the time of change and your own input into it. It is associated with acting at the right time , creating the moment of change yourself instead of waiting for the right moment. Those who stay on the wheel will keep spinning in the same circle forever. When will you jump off to take a new path?

Advice for you: Don't keep wandering around in the same circle. It is high time to break wrong (eating/living/exercise) patterns and take a completely different path. For now, the most important thing is: drink lots of water, exercise a lot, no sweets. These are mainly the basics that can benefit you a lot right now.

Psychological slimmingThe Justice

Symbolism: Justice is known as honest, wise, decisive and responsible for one's own actions. With the scales, everything is carefully weighed against each other and with the sword, a knot is finally tied, a decision taken.

Advice for you: Above all, be honest with yourself now. Why is it that so far you have not managed to change your lifestyle? Lose your excess weight? Above all, look at the past now, what went wrong? What did you eat wrong? Why did you move (too) little? Now is the time for you to succeed, you are ready. Because you have dared to take an honest look at yourself, to see what needs to be done differently and to be fully behind it, you will not hit the same brick again. Good for you! Remain honest with yourself, and tell yourself what you like and absolutely don't want (anymore), and convey this to those around you. Make sure you get enough exercise, which, besides your changed diet, is now your most important point to work on. If you find it hard to resist temptation, think about playing puzzles, checkers or chess (with or without the computer), writing, blogging, vlogging, etc. Activities where you can both relax and need to use your brain so you don't have to think about (wrong) food

psychological weight lossThe Hanged Man

Symbolism: The hanged man is known to be powerless, sometimes depressed, and sometimes struggles with a (necessary) turnaround. When he hangs upside down, he suddenly sees things from a different angle.

Advice for you: Perhaps you feel stuck for a while, or it is taking you too long to reach your target weight. Don't let your head hang, but look at it from a different angle. Look at what you have already achieved. Make sure you don't lose your energy. Keep eating healthily, make sure you get enough vitamins, minerals, fluids and the right carbohydrates (Disk of Five), and you will soon be ready to face the world again! For now, you should drink green tea or herbal teas that you like and that can give you a 'natural' boost. There is no such thing as 'I can't do it'! Let go of that thought right now. Thoughts are forces, and if you keep thinking hard enough that you won't succeed will it won't work either. Check for yourself what you could change yourself to make it easier to maintain a healthy lifestyle and exercise pattern.

psychological weight loss Death

Symbolism: Death is known as the end of a period. It is associated with the closure of the past so that you can fully open up to the future. The old gives way to the new.

Advice for you: The time has come to bring closure to a period in your life. Your 'heavy' period. Whatever caused your obesity, this will no longer stand in your way. You have drawn a very thick line under it (or should do so!). Now the old gives way to beautiful, new beginnings, and a beautiful, new you! Process old grief, surrender to positivity, hope and... your good new habits regarding healthy eating and exercise. Keep realising that the past really does belong to the past, and that nothing is a good excuse for eating unhealthily, not exercising enough or failing yourself in any way. Now is the first day of your bright new future!

psychological weight lossThe Moderation

Symbolism: Moderation is known as calm, balanced and is associated with inner peace, health, relaxation and mastery.

Advice for you: There it is....the map of balance! Be economical with your body, with your energy, you don't know how long you will have to do with it! Get the right balance and stay alert to what you eat and drink. And what about your sleep? Are you getting enough sleep? Are you getting enough exercise? The most important thing now is to find the right balance between eating, (water/tea) drinking, wakefulness, sleep, exercise and relaxation. This chart shows that you are on the right track and that an improvement in your physical condition and well-being can be expected!

psychological weight lossThe Devil

Symbolism: The Devil is known as the Great Seducer and is associated with our own 'dark' side, the inability to let go of addictions, destructive thoughts and/or behaviour, the inability to keep measure, and sometimes the surrender to others who try to control and dominate us. Or... our own obsession with something or someone!

Advice for you: You may be finding it a bit difficult to resist certain temptations at the moment. Do you feel dependent on certain 'wrong' foods, drinks or would you rather lie on the couch watching TV than work out at the gym? You would like things to change, but are not sure how. The only way to make (positive) changes is to take a good look at yourself and ask yourself the question: why? Wrong eating is often a wrong habit we have taught ourselves; an addiction. Remember that when kicking the habit of anything, the first week is often the hardest and after that the (physical) craving decreases. The mental craving is often even stronger and lasts longer. Taking good care of your body, exercising enough and eating healthy will only do you good and slowly but surely reduce your need to sin. Hang in there! If you give in to temptation now, you will have to start all over again, which would be a real shame!

Sometimes this card represents the warning; overindulgence harms. This certainly applies to exercise and dieting too! Avoid any form of overindulgence or addiction.

psychological weight lossThe Tower

Symbolism: The Tower is known as a figurative liberation and is associated with opening one's eyes, growth after disappointment, being forced to let go of the old. The Tower partially collapses and is then rebuilt. However, the foundation is still standing. As a result, the Tower becomes stronger than before!

Advice for you: Possibly an event will take place today or this week that will really make you realise why it is so important for you to continue your new healthy lifestyle at this very moment. Sometimes there is no choice and you should really let go of old patterns to be better off in the end. Commit - after recovering from the initial shock - to the full 100% and make sure you don't give up. It is now time for new beginnings. Let go of old, unhealthy, lifestyles. Go for it!

Psychological slimmingThe Star

Symbolism: The Star is known as the card of the future, and is associated with positivity, hope, confidence and successful plans that reach far into the future.

Advice for you: You are hopeful that you will now actually stick to your new eating and exercise pattern, and that chance is indeed high! You now know exactly how your body is put together and how it functions. You truly believe that what you are doing is good for you, which also makes you stronger and more consistent. If you continue like this, you will be able to enjoy what you are trying so hard for now far into the future.

psychological weight lossThe Moon

Symbolism: The Moon is known as uncertain and is associated with illusions and the fear of taking certain steps because you do not know where the 'road' will lead. Sometimes the Moon is associated with past problems that have not really been dealt with and you fall into old habits as a result.

Advice for you: Uncertainty sometimes takes hold of you. Perhaps you tend to relate old problems to your eating habits or you are simply afraid that you will not succeed in reaching your target weight, you are afraid that it is an illusion. Perhaps because things have gone wrong so many times and you still kept gaining weight. Try to realise that the past really belongs to the past and that no problem or (unresolved) sadness is a good reason to live unhealthily or eat too much. By doing so, you only sell yourself short! Try to give certain fears and/or insecurities a place, if necessary talk to someone so you can let go of them, so you can move on in a better way and focus on the future again. Listen carefully to your feelings, your own intuition, your inner voice. Actually, you know best what is not so good for you to eat or do. If you can find out (with some psychological or spiritual help if necessary) why you keep doing it, you will have made a lot of progress.

spiritual slimmingThe Sun

Symbolism: The Sun is known to be positive, self-aware, and confident. Zij is associated with success, overcoming problems and enjoying life. And...warmth!

Advice for you: You feel zic delicious, and it shows! You learn a lot about food, everything seems to fall into place. You get more energy and seem to have much less need for 'wrong' food, because now you know what it really does to your body. It makes you happy; you shine! Positive thinking also attracts positive energy and you probably notice this in the people around you. What you give you get back. You will most probably maintain this lifestyle with ease. Heat will also do you good now. If possible, spend some time outside in the sun or visit the sauna (if in doubt about cardiovascular diseases or high or low blood pressure, consult your GP).

spiritual slimmingThe Verdict

Symbolism: Judgement is known as redemption and is associated with a new opportunity, overcoming difficulties, coping with disappointments and breaking free from problems. A change for the better, a figurative rebirth! Old things are revived.

Advice for you: At the moment, a change in your diet seems of paramount importance to you. High-fibre food in the form of wholemeal bread, vegetables, fruit and legumes, preferably as varied as possible. Your body may need a healthy boosting cleanse, for example through tea with a cleansing effect. Drink plenty of water, green tea, mint tea, or another good diuretic tea (Pu Erh) that will make you go to the toilet often and get rid of a lot of waste. You will feel a lot better after this, and possibly lose some extra weight in the coming time. If possible: go back to the lifestyle before you got heavier!

spiritual slimmingThe World

Symbolism: The World is known as the goal achieved and is associated with 'coming home', completing a project, bringing closure to the past in a proper way allowing one to move on again at a better, higher level because there are so manyel has been taught.

Advice for you: You may be doing very well with your new way of life, exercising well and eating healthily. You have probably already achieved one or more of your goals and now a new phase has begun in which you will lose even more weight and feel even fitter! Your old lifestyle with wrong food and not enough exercise has really left you behind and you feel reborn! You will keep it this way for a very long time. Maybe this is a good time to try something new in terms of exercise and sports or to step it up a notch at the gym.

Minor Arcana, Swords

spiritual slimmingSwords Ace

Symbolism: The sword can 'cut a knot', therefore this sword represents a decision to be taken. This should be done with full intellect and not on feelings.

Advice for you: It is important that you set a clear goal for yourself about what you want to achieve and how you want to achieve it. It is important that you know exactly what nutrition can do to and for your body so that it becomes clear what you have been doing wrong all this time and which ultimately made you heavier. Tie the knot today. Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. You have to start somewhere so why not today? What are you (still) doing wrong despite wanting to get leaner and fitter? What do you really need to say goodbye to? You know best....

Psychological slimmingSwords two

Symbolism: The person in the picture seems to be protecting her heart. She may have been hurt before, failed before and now closes herself off to avoid being hurt and/or disappointed again. The swords each point in one direction indicating doubt.

Advice for you: It is especially important for you now not to want too much at once. Take enough rest and make sure you relax sufficiently. Slimming down doesn't mean it's all right now should, which may leave you over-tired or stressed out, making you feel less comfortable. That is absolutely not the point. Nor does it mean that because previous attempts to lose weight have failed, it will probably fail this time too. Do not try to compensate for your doubt or insecurity by starving or exhausting yourself. Take a break if you feel you are trying too fast, don't be too hard on yourself despite previous attempts that may have failed. Keep taking it easy and in the right way!

spiritual slimmingSwords three

Symbolism: The swords pierce a heart, but there is no blood. These are old wounds, old hurts that can be woerden up. Sometimes this card represents a decision taken against feelings.

Advice for you: Keep thinking positively. Although in the past not everything has always gone for the best and you have probably suffered quite a bit from your excess weight now and then, now is the time to make the decision that will work out well for you! Consciously distance yourself (i.e. not say goodbye!) from the (tasty but high-calorie) things, which you now know what they do to your body (fat storage, and even the possibility of developing cardiovascular diseases) and make sure you only get to put them in your mouth once a week. That's not too bad, is it?

spiritual slimmingSwords four

Symbolism: The person on the card is taking a rest. Usually by necessity to heal or to sort things out for himself so that he/she can continue rested and with fresh courage.

Advice for you: It is very important now to pay very close attention to your (night) rest! When you draw this card, there is a possibility that you are not relaxing enough and/or sleeping too short. Try to create a regular day and night rhythm for yourself so that you regain a healthy lifestyle and get enough rest at night to have enough energy during the day. Also try to really relax for a (half) hour during the day; stress and lack of sleep make you fat (and often depressed) so try to avoid this at all times by living regularly! Sometimes this card points to an injury, flu or other ailment that requires you to take it easy for a while. Above all, listen to your body.

spiritual slimmingSwords five

Symbolism: There has been struggle and possible dishonesty and/or foul play. Both winner and loser feel uncomfortable.

Advice for you: It is vital not to overestimate yourself, but... don't give up either! Where is the balance? After a day of sinning, there is really no need to completely starve or exhaust yourself. A day of 'cheating' or sinning really doesn't make you immediately heavy again. If one day of dieting does not make you slim immediately, one day of sinning does not make you fat immediately either, so relax! Perhaps you are sensitive to the yo-yo effect and are so afraid of regaining weight that your weight loss attempts sometimes take extreme forms; from fanatical dieting to stuffing yourself with sweets. Slimming is a battle, a battle against the kilos, but if the balance is lost, you will never win. Rest and regularity combined with good nutrition and sufficient exercise is all you need to get fit again and lose some kilos, that's all!

spiritual slimmingSwords six

Symbolism: The boat sails to the other side; there have been turbulent times - given the woman's crooked back and the rippling water on the right side of the boat. Those in the boat hope for a better, new beginning. One enters 'calmer waters'.

Advice for you: You slowly detach yourself from the difficult period. Losing weight is slowly but surely getting easier for you and you keep hoping for a good end result. Good! Slowly, you are now sliding into a new phase, a healthier phase. If you have the time and inclination, go for a swim or two. You will feel great afterwards! Sometimes this card represents travel. Are you going on a day out, weekend trip or holiday soon? Make sure you don't fall back into old habits and have to start all over again! It's okay to eat something tasty more often during the holidays, but make sure to adjust your exercise pattern accordingly! Remember, the more you eat (don't overdo it!!), the more exercise (walking, swimming, cycling, rowing, water-skiing) you need to keep everything in balance!

spiritual weight lossSifting swords

Symbolism: The person on the card is trying to say goodbye to the past, but because he keeps looking back and is not honest with himself and/or those around him, something will always linger and he will never get rid of it. Also, he cuts himself on the swords he tries to take unfairly. This card often represents falling into the same mistakes/ habits over and over again.

Advice for you: Don't kid yourself. You are changing your lifestyle. You are doing this only for yourself, so also, above all, stay honest to yourself. There is a possibility that you may or have recently indulged in unauthorised calories today. The consequences of this (weight gain, guilt, regret, depression) will only be short-lived, because chances are you will realise immediately afterwards that you are only hurting yourself. Try to avoid such a situation today and if it has already happened; pick up the thread immediately and re-package yourself; heads up!

spiritual weight lossSwords eight

Symbolism: The person on the card is bound and blindfolded, indicating that she dare not look ahead. But why not? There are no knots, she can unwind herself like this and take off the blindfold. The way forward is free, but she has to want to see it!

Advice for you: Possibly this will be a difficult day for a while. You know very well what you have to do (healthy eating, sufficient exercise) but you may not find the strength to go through with it. Tell yourself that it is important for your own well-being that you stick with it this time and that there are still plenty of tasty things you can eat without the risk of weight gain. Beware of self-pity that tempts you to eat more or wrongly by way of 'comfort'. Comfort, for what? For getting slimmer and fitter in your beautiful body? Come on!

spiritual slimmingSwords nine

Symbolism: The person on the card is worried, but are these worries well-founded? The swords on the card do not touch the person, but rather say that all obstacles can be removed one by one. She is better off putting her energy into this, rather than fretting about it!

Advice for you: You may worry (too) much, and make some problems bigger than they are, making you unnecessarily more stressed or depressed. This is not conducive to your health. If you have really sleepless nights due to grinding, you also lack sleep, which also reduces your energy during the day and makes you crave (wrong) extra food. Possibly your balance is a bit off at the moment. Try to work on this so that you feel better and find it less difficult to watch your food during the day and take enough exercise. Are certain problems really that bad? Or has a mosquito turned into an elephant here and can you solve them? Do it, better to put energy into solving your problems than to spend endless energy worrying about them! Nobody ever lost weight just by worrying (or complaining) about it.

Psychological slimmingSwords ten

Symbolism: The person on the card is pierced by swords. A gruesome sight. Yet it is only a symbolic meaning; it is the death of worry. A better time follows, as the sun rises on the horizon!

Advice for you: At this time, it is important to build up a good resistance. Make sure you get enough vitamins, minerals and eat fruits and vegetables. You will find that when you eat well and healthy, you will also have more energy to exercise more. The most difficult period regarding your attempt(s) to lose weight is behind you, from now on you will do better and better, but make sure you get all the nutrients you need! Did you not manage to exercise for a while? That too will improve from now on!

psychological slimmingSwords Squire

Symbolism: This Squire has a restless influence. He does not have both feet on the ground, and discord is in the air, which is why he is vigilant; ready for battle! Criticism or disagreement belongs to this card, as well as a somewhat immature way of acting.

Advice for you: Try paying a little more attention to the amount of (wrong) calories you take in each day. Possibly certain (too salty?) foods make your body retain fluids or make you gain weight faster than you might expect. Moderation and control are words you need to remember for a while. Drink plenty of water and tea between meals to suppress your hunger pangs and drain waste products and any excess fluid (oedema) from your body. Don't get angry if things slow down or someone makes a remark you can't use right now. Stick to yourself and go your own way, you know best, bickering about it with others is the last thing that helps.

psychological slimmingSwords Knight

Symbolism: This Knight brings a restless atmosphere. Aggression, strife, and impulsiveness.

Advice for you: Try taking it a little easier during your battle against excess kilos. Sometimes you literally run yourself over. Exercise is good, but try not to overdo it because, like everything else, excess damages. Feel free to do nothing at all and relax every now and then. Even though you have so much to do, this will certainly benefit your health, both physically and mentally. Above all, do not get angry if it turns out that you have lost less weight this week than you thought. Sometimes things go a little slower, sometimes a little faster. Just keep doing your thing and it will work out in the end.

psychological slimmingSwords Queen

Symbolism: This Queen is insightful, somewhat cool, straightforward, intelligent and independent. She is aloof, intellectual and independent.

Advice for you: Right now, using medicinal herbs (tea) will do you tremendous good. You may be experiencing - or will soon experience - some minor physical discomfort (related to digestion, head or menstrual pain or fatigue) that may make you feel less inclined to keep moving. Try to relax yourself as much as possible, go for a walk, put on good music and dance. Look at the list of medicinal herbs, pick something that suits you and make a nice pot of tea. Still want to learn something related to nutrition or sports? This is a great time for this.

psychological weight lossSwords King

Symbolism: This King is somewhat stubborn, dominant, rigid and authoritarian. He does not tolerate contradiction and is easily irritated. He is mostly rational, not emotional.

Advice for you: Try to relax a little more. Relaxation also has a beneficial effect on slimming. Relaxation reduces the production of the stress hormone cortisol. You may be a bit nervous, annoyed or worried for certain reasons. Go for a walk in nature, take a bath, watch your favourite series or do something else that calms you down. If you have really serious problems or are really overly nervous, visit a doctor to talk about it. Ignore certain emotions and above all look rationally at what is most sensible for you to (not) do right now with regard to losing weight.

Minor Arcana, Rods

psychological slimmingRod Ace

Symbolism: The staff with new fresh leaves attached to it is grasped as if a new opportunity is being offered and tackled. The card radiates strength and because it is an Ace, the first card of a series, it indicates a new beginning.

Advice for you: You are excited about your new eating and exercise pattern and really feel like actually keeping it up now. Good for you! Exercising, walking, eating healthy and drinking water and herbal teas will make you feel even better, so keep doing it! You have embarked on a new lifestyle whose positive effect on body and mind is probably already noticeable; the change is over!

psychological slimmingRod two

Symbolism: Much has already been achieved, yet there is still doubt about the future. There is still a long way to go before this person can actually enjoy what he has achieved so far. He still keeps thinking about the future too often. Better he should enjoy the 'now' more and share all that has already been achieved with someone else. Together, one is stronger and has more fun.

Advice for you: You may not yet be completely comfortable in your own skin and feel like you have a long way to go. Perhaps that is true, but a good start is half the battle. So don't let doubts or uncertainty affect you. For you, exercise is especially important right now. If you really feel you need support, go for a nice walk with someone else or ask someone along for a round of cycling, rollerblading, swimming or Nordic walking. If no one can accompany you, try going alone anyway. You will feel great afterwards and be proud of yourself! Get outside today anyway.

psychological slimmingRod three

Symbolism: A long road is behind us and now it is time to reap the harvest and let go of the uncertainties of the past. Finally, this person can enjoy what he has worked so hard for. He can be proud of himself.

Advice for you: You have probably wanted to lose weight for a long time or have been working on this in the past. This time, you will do it properly and you will succeed. However, it is important that you get enough sleep and keep motivating and encouraging yourself from time to time to avoid falling back into old, wrong habits. Keep faith in your own abilities! Often this card symbolises the achievement of a new goal or milestone.

psychological slimmingRod four

Symbolism: There are celebrations or gatherings with groups of people from two to more having a good time together, a card with a positive look that welcomes you! Here you can be yourself!

Advice for you: You may be having a social gathering or party soon. Of course it is okay to have a snack from the plate, but keep it down and avoid alcohol and sugary soft drinks. Furthermore, this card represents a good balance, both physically and mentally, so you probably won't even struggle to keep your cool. You are clearly on the right track! Sometimes this card represents exercising in a group(s) where people support and motivate each other in a positive way.

psychological slimmingRod five

Symbolism: A battle is being waged, but in a playful manner. Still, there seems to be some rivalry; people want to 'prove themselves'.

Advice for you: You may feel you have to prove yourself, but to whom? You are doing this primarily for yourself, so also make sure that, above all, you keep feeling good about the things you do. Be careful not to starve yourself or overexert yourself, because then you run the risk of injuring or overtraining yourself. Keep exercising and watching your diet, but don't overdo it, losing the excess pounds bit by bit is really better than rushing this process.

psychological slimmingBar six

Symbolism: A victory march. The winner, the hero, is brought in amid joy and cheers. He brings good news and gets the appreciation he deserves.

Advice for you: You are feeling great and, after a difficult period, have probably achieved or will very soon achieve one of your goals. Good for you! Probably even others will notice how well you are doing and you will receive a compliment this week regarding your appearance, willpower or perseverance. You can really be proud of yourself!

psychological slimmingRod seven

Symbolism: The person on the card seems to want to defend himself. Possibly people disagree with him or he actually feels 'attacked' and believes he has to defend his position. On the other hand, it is only bars that seem to be attacking him, where are the persons? Is the attack even real or is it mainly in his mind?

Advice for you: You are determined to lose your excess kilos and are definitely showing willpower; this will be rewarded! Do not pay attention to others who say you will probably not succeed or that you are following the 'wrong' diet. Keep believing in yourself and in your new lifestyle, he who laughs last, laughs best! Also, don't take everything personally.

psychological slimmingRod eight

Symbolism: The rods fly through the air and are already landing. They indicate rapid, positive, developments and they are already on their way! Something (good) is in the air!

Advice for you: This card is the harbinger of success and faster than you expect! However, do not overestimate yourself! Do everything according to a fixed schedule and you will be amazed at your rapid progress soon!

psychological slimmingBar nine

Symbolism: There is evidence of a difficult past in which the person on the card has already faced many struggles. This has made him more cautious in the present and perhaps inclined to let the cat out of the tree. He puts up a wall around himself to avoid new disappointments.

Advice for you: You have probably tried too hard (in the recent past) to lose weight, lost hope or are injured or exhausted. This is not a good thing. What you need now, besides healthy, balanced nutrition, is rest and relaxation. A soothing fragrance oil, sauna, tea with calming effects, sufficient sleep and possibly meditation or visualisation exercises will do you good and boost your resistance again. Keep moving, but not too fanatically. Go for a nice long walk or cycle at a leisurely pace. The fact that you did not succeed in losing weight before does not mean that you will not succeed this time either.

psychological weight lossBar ten

Symbolism: The person on the card misallocates his powers. Possibly he wants to do too much at once, making things unnecessarily difficult for himself.

Advice for you: You seem to divide your energies too much. If you notice that you are getting tired or have hurt or injured yourself, definitely take it a little easier. You may be doing too many different things or exercising too often. If you feel a headache coming on, sit down and make yourself some calming (herbal) tea. De-stressing and/or slowing down is certainly not a luxury.

psychological slimmingBars Squire

Symbolism: This Squire has a positive influence. Sometimes he is a messenger bringing unexpected good news, sending an invitation or proposal. Sometimes he represents an event that sparks inspiration; that motivates. He also stands in connection with (spiritual) messages.

Advice for you: You are doing well and probably getting good results! You are feeling fit and improving your appearance. Nature has a good effect on you: walking, cycling, going to the beach, the woods, it does you good! Try to be (even) more open to spirituality and listen to your feelings when it comes to diet, exercise and... the tarot slimming advice cards.

Psychological slimmingRod Knight

Symbolism: This knight conveys a somewhat impatient atmosphere. His horse is itching to leave this place and the knight seems to be struggling to contain him. He is about to leave at a full gallop. Over-enthusiasm.

Advice for you: You have a great need for change. However, you are sometimes a bit impatient so be careful not to go too fast. Watch out for injuries or losing weight too fast. Apart from your weight, everything else changes with you. You may be thinking about a new haircut or a new wardrobe. A completely different look, which suits the new you. Fine!

slimming coach cardsRod Queen

Symbolism: This queen is beautiful inside and out. She is understanding, helpful, but also knows very well what she wants for herself. She is warm-hearted and self-confident.

Advice for you: Both physically and emotionally, you are comfortable in your skin. You feel lighter, more graceful and do everything with full abandon because you feel that it benefits you. You enjoy life and are attractive. Enjoy this beautiful change! Sometimes this card represents a woman in your environment to whom you have a lot in terms of support and (slimming) advice.

slimming coach cardsRod King

Symbolism: This king is sympathetic, serious, strong-willed and motivating. A rock you can rely on and trust. He finds it important to get his act together now for the future. Self-confident and enterprising.

Advice for you: You are excited about what your new lifestyle, the right balance is doing to you, both physically and mentally. You feel strong and enjoy being outdoors. The combination of outdoor air plus exercise works wonders. However, do not become overactive. Remember the balance, you are quite capable of maintaining it. Also keep the focus on the future, you are doing this now to keep enjoying it later!

Minor Arcana, Goblets

slimming coach cardsGoblets Bait

Symbolism: The cup overflows with goodness. Happiness, health, prosperity, on every front, this card is a harbinger of happiness and prosperity!

Advice for you: Things are going well! You feel great and are happy to follow the advice the cards give you. Moisture is especially important now, so drink plenty of water, tea and herbal teas. Draining waste products will contribute even more to your good feeling, your well-being and your weight loss. Keep up the good work!

slimming coachGoblets two

Symbolism: Slowly but surely, two people come together. This concerns something special, something permanent, which, although it needs time to grow to develop, will not be transient. The foundation is right!

Advice for you: Things are going well. Slowly but surely you notice that you are getting fitter, tighter and slimmer and you feel wonderful about it! Your resistance is getting stronger and you have more energy. Keep exercising and moving at your own pace and don't rush anything. Give it all the time it needs and you will be fine.

slimming coachGoblets three

Symbolism: Several people have a good time together; there is a happy ending, a 'happy ending' that is toasted. The goal is/will be achieved! The ripe fruit represents fertility and health.

You are doing fine, eating responsibly, exercising well and feeling great! Your weight is decreasing and your fitness is increasing. Have you ever thought about a fun (team) sport or exercising with friends more often and/or cooking and eating healthily?

slimming coachGoblets four

Symbolism: The person on the card sits looking dissatisfied in front of him and does not see that he is being handed a goblet. This card represents sulking about a particular situation and being so absorbed in dissatisfaction that he overlooks obvious solutions while they are there!

Advice for you: You currently seem dissatisfied with the way things are going. Perhaps weight loss is not going fast or well enough for you, or you are struggling to follow the diet and exercise advice the cards give you. You may sometimes suffer from binge eating that causes stomach or intestinal discomfort. You would do well to pay extra attention to your diet in the near future and to stick to the vitamins you take. ADH keep it up. You will find that you will then feel fitter and the slimming process will go better for you. Despite all the advice you receive, in the end you have to do it yourself.

slimming coachGoblets five

Symbolism: The person in the card is grieving for what has been lost and is so sad about this that he does not even realise that behind him there are still a number of goblets upright and that there is a bridge leading to a beautiful place he can go to. He gets so stuck in the grief and disappointment that he fails to see that there is still plenty to look forward to.

Advice for you: Do not grieve for everything that has failed in the past in relation to your attempts to lose weight and/or what you have lost (figure, fitness, self-confidence?). Don't be sad about the fact that you may still be overweight at the moment. Now is the time to look forward; in fact, this time there is a very good chance that you will succeed! Drink a few cups of black tea or Pu Erh tea today to give you a natural pick-me-up and immediately lose the necessary (excess) fluids, so you will feel a bit lighter right away. From today, refocus on the future instead of the past.

Psychological slimmingGoblets six

Symbolism: Memories fill the mind. Everything used to be better and nicer, but... is that really true? Perhaps you yourself acted differently back then than you do now?

Advice for you: You are probably currently thinking often about the past, when you were fitter and slimmer. What did you do differently then and why did you trade your healthy lifestyle back then for less healthy habits? Can you pick up the good things from back then and fit your good, old habits back into your current life? Today is the moment to think about what you did differently then than you do now, and how you can start (continue) doing it again.

slimming coachSifting trophies

Symbolism: The person on the card does not seem to be able to choose from all the options presented to him, or that he comes up with himself. Which options are feasible for him and which are not? This card points to the danger of dreams that cannot be fulfilled, perhaps because they are too high, making disappointment almost inevitable.

Advice for you: Stay realistic. Don't set yourself impossible goals and keep facing up to what is actually achievable and what is not. If you set the bar too high, this will only increase the chances of you achieving your goal not will achieve and with it the disappointment that will accompany it. Drinking plenty of water and herbal teas is a good complement to your current way of eating and exercising. Take a final look to be sure; what is your goal and is it really achievable? Do you want to lose 20 kg? Then divide this into 4 x 5 kilos; much more manageable! It is also important to avoid soft drinks, alcohol and/or (soft) drugs, these certainly do not have a good influence on your health and weight, your liver is busy enough as it is without putting unnecessary extra strain on it.

slimming coachGoblets eight

Symbolism: The person on the card is saying goodbye to his current lifestyle. Although he is still uncertain about what is to come next, he perseveres. Gradually it will become clear which new path he will take.

Advice for you: It is now vital that you turn your back on and/or continue to turn your back on all 'fattening stimulants', however difficult you may find this. High-calorie food, soft drinks, alcohol, (too many) fatty snacks, everything that has become wrong habits over time, you should get rid of and/or keep out the door immediately. Also important: purify your body in the sauna (provided you don't suffer from high or low blood pressure or cardiovascular disease) or through a detox treatment (under supervision). Also good: green tea, Pu Erh tea, mint tea. Try eating really healthy for a while and make this a new good habit.

slimming coachGoblets nine

Symbolism: The person on the card is content, but also somewhat smug. Perhaps he enjoys everything he has a bit too much and has trouble controlling himself when things are sociable

Advice for you: Enjoy in moderation! Many cosy parties or visits are behind you (or still in the offing) or you simply enjoy too many tasty snacks and drinks at home. Although you feel good, the danger of excess still lurks. Every pound goes through the mouth and if you are not careful you will gain another kilo in no time. You are advised to drink a lot of water, and of course watch what you eat.

slimming coachGoblets ten

Symbolism: The people in the card are grateful and content, appreciating and enjoying what they have. This card is always a positive omen, in any field. Goblets ten represents the achievement of a goal, a wish fulfilled, joy and gratitude, but also warns that nothing can be taken for granted and that we have to keep working on our happiness ourselves. In short; hard work pays off!

Advice for you: You are happy, happy and grateful. You may be on the verge of achieving one of your goals (again)! Emotionally, you feel rich and physically too, you have no reason to complain, everything is going fine. Do keep drinking plenty of water and (herbal) tea, this will remain good for you for now. Also at home, when sitting on the couch with family or friends, just keep drinking your glass of water or cup of tea. If you have children, be careful not to snack with them or eat their leftovers at the table. Every calorie is one. Stick to your new, good habits!

lose weightGoblets Squire

Symbolism: This Squire is a charmer and brings with him love, a reconciliation, dreams or flattery. He not infrequently offers new opportunities like a new education, a new relationship, new spiritual impulses or even a (literal or figurative) birth!

Advice for you: Not only are you learning how your body works and what certain foods do for or with you, you are also more interested in psychology and spirituality. A good night's sleep is a good complement to everything you are currently immersing yourself in. Indeed, it is not inconceivable that through your dreams you may discover the causes of certain insecurities you are struggling with. Above all, continue this personal development, it will support you in the battle against the kilos.

lose weightGoblets Knight

Symbolism: This Knight brings an air of love, helpfulness and relaxation. He is kind to you and willing to lend a helping hand.

Advice for you: You are enjoying your new lifestyle. You feel good and are pleased with what your new diet and exercise are doing for you. You feel fitter and maybe even younger. Although you may have had less positive experiences with diets or other weight-loss attempts in the past, you are now starting to feel increasingly confident in your own ability in this area. And rightly so, you are doing well! Keep going and step by step you will reach your goal.

Psychological slimmingGoblets Queen

Symbolism: This Queen is loving, sensitive, caring, and above all intuitively well-developed, but also a dream star. Spirituality and seduction.

Advice for you: You may currently be a little low on energy to do much exercise. If that is the case, at least keep watching your diet. Make sure you get enough vitamins, minerals and eat according to the five-point scale as much as possible. Drink plenty of water and, weather permitting, take a nice walk on the beach. The salty sea air will do you good! Keep resisting unhealthy temptations at all times, as you are extra sensitive to these this week. Eating just one biscuit is out of the question. Be sure to bake the whole pack away!

lose weightGoblets King

Symbolism: This King is sympathetic, compassionate, responsible, yet has a certain need for freedom. Also, he is very sensitive to temptations, as betrayed by his foot which is almost about to commit a slip. This burgundy-minded king enjoys life to the fullest!

Advice for you: Beware of alcohol and tasty snacks or elaborate dinners; every pound goes through the mouth. Especially in company or during social gatherings, it is sometimes difficult to keep your cool. Try to resist as many temptations as possible and take responsibility for your own weight and health.

Minor Arcana, Pentacles

tarot card meanings

Bait

Symbolism: The Ace is in a beautiful setting that exudes peace, happiness and well-being. Inner and outer wealth. This is again the first card of a series, so again: a new beginning, a new opportunity with a high success rate.

Advice for you: You are doing fine! You feel energetic, strong and it is absolutely noticeable that your new lifestyle is doing you good! You now possess the strength to persevere and reach your target weight!

Psychological slimmingPentacles two

Symbolism: The person on the card does not have both feet firmly on the ground, but nevertheless seems to be balancing. This card represents adapting well to new situations, but without actually going anywhere (yet). Balance is still missing. The card has a somewhat playful character and does not indicate serious plans, rather tentative hesitation.

Advice for you: Sometimes you find it easier to stick to your new lifestyle than other times. Sometimes you tend to falter or sin and are less serious about following the advice of the tarot or the Dishes of Five. Also, you may not always be able to relax. Try to bring more balance to your diet, exercise and relaxation.

meaning tarot cardsPentacles three

Symbolism: The person on the card gets a chance to show what he can do. He is willing to work for his goal and does his best for it. He takes the advice of others to heart, but in addition he continues to follow his own intuition. The combination of following his intuition, plus the advice of others that he may or may not follow by feeling, means he can go far.

Advice for you: You are ready to work hard on your health and fitness. Good for you! You will not give up easily this time, and are determined to really achieve your (ultimate) goal! And you will succeed; if you continue in this way, success is definitely to be expected!

tarot card meaningsPentacles four

Symbolism: The person on the card 'sits' on his possessions, and possibly his feelings. He finds it difficult to take a risk now and then. He prefers to hold on to everything and keep everything as it is. That way, he knows what he has, but... at the same time, with this attitude, he also misses out on many beautiful good new things! He is so keen on certainty that he misses out on new opportunities.

Advice for you: It is so important for you to achieve your goal that you can sometimes be a bit too fanatical about this. Be careful not to overexert yourself and watch your back. If you are so desperate to lose weight, and you give it your all, you will be all the more disappointed when you don't lose enough weight and you are all the more likely to binge.

tarot card meaningsPentacles five

Symbolism: Dhe persons on the map feel sick and all sorts of things are missing in their lives. Yet they refuse to ask for help because they may then have to change themselves. Change takes effort and so they prefer to continue living in uncertainty... The snow on the card means that everything is temporary. Also difficulties. Sometimes this card also represents illness that makes one temporarily unable to work on his/her problems. Even then, help may be needed, which one sometimes finds difficult to ask for because one does not want to be a burden to anyone.

Advice for you: You may not be feeling very well at the moment, perhaps feeling that you are not going to succeed in reaching your goal or really losing weight at all. That's unfortunate. Talk to someone about your insecurities, don't just keep walking around with them. Try not to exhaust yourself during moments when you suddenly want to exercise very fanatically to lose some kilos, this can be counterproductive. Remember: Balance! If you are currently not feeling well due to illness and are unable to exercise as a result, let yourself be pampered for a while and once recovered, start your new lifestyle with the right balance of diet, exercise, work and relaxation with fresh courage.

tarot card meaningsPentacles six

Symbolism: The rich man gives money to the poor, but... he does not throw it around, he considers what they need and weighs his gifts carefully. They get nothing more or less. The poor welcome his support and extend gratitude to him. Support can be very important, provided it is not misused!

Advice for you: You may need some extra support during your battle against the kilos. Feel free to ask for this. Ask your sports instructor for advice, or ask someone to walk or cycle with you. Maybe you need more nutritional advice? Just talking often helps a lot too. When you ask for help, you will get the right advice or the right support, giving you just that extra backing you needed.

tarot card meaningsPentacles seven

Symbolism: The person on the card is waiting for his bush to grow and flower. He knows he has done the right thing; the digging, the sowing, the tending, only now he finds it difficult to be patient until real results of his efforts can be seen. Still, it is important to wait and not force anything. After all, everything needs time to grow....

Advice for you: Perhaps you are feeling a bit discouraged, and it is taking you too long to really see results from all your efforts. Take comfort, everything takes time. It may really take some time before you will achieve your ultimate goal, but take it one step at a time and you will be fine. This is the card of patience, but also of eventual success if you can muster this patience. Keep thinking positively, keep exercising (very important right now!) and get outside often. This will do you good both physically and mentally. Runners die is the well-known saying. Slowly losing the excess kilos is really not a bad thing. It is even better; as long as you persevere!

Psychological slimmingPentacles eight

Symbolism: The person on the card is enjoying his work. He actually enjoys this because he is doing work he has chosen to do. It takes time and energy and he will still have a lot to learn, but nevertheless, it gives him satisfaction! That too is wealth!

Advice for you: You are really having fun with nutrition and following the advice of the tarot slimming coach cards. Be careful not to tire yourself out too much. Remember: Balance! Keep the right balance between eating, working out, exercising, sleeping eating and relaxing. Still, you are definitely well on your way, and will definitely achieve your goal if you continue in this way. You are willing to keep working on your health and fitness and do so in a relaxing way. Make sure you keep enjoying it too, the longer you will keep it up.

Psychological slimmingPentacles nine

Symbolism: The person in the card is enjoying the beautiful surroundings. She seems to have to put little effort into all the beauty around her. She has made the right decisions in the past that allow her to enjoy all that has been achieved now.

tarot card meaningsPentacles Tawny

Symbolism: This Squire has a valuable, stable influence. New, welcome lessons and help are to be expected. He brings a lucky coin!

Advice for you: You are willing to learn a lot about nutrition and exercise, and find that following the advice of the tarot coach cards strengthens your resistance and improves fitness. tarot card meaningsPentacles Knight

Symbolism: This Knight brings with him a stable, familiar atmosphere. Although somewhat slow, he is strong and persistent and slowly but surely reaches his goal.

Advice for you: Get moving more. When you get more active, the process will be faster! Try to gain some more muscle power so that this will positively affect your metabolism. Muscles consume more energy than fat which speeds up your metabolism. Cardio training combined with some (light) strength training will now have a very good impact on you. Not going to the gym yet? This would be a good time. Also, it is important to drink a bit more water and especially Pu Erh tea (or mint tea and green tea) to stimulate digestion a bit more. It is important to get rid of waste products and keep the bowels working properly. Also eat high-fibre foods. You will feel less bloated and fitter in the process.

tarot card meaningsPentacles Queen

Symbolism: This Queen is reliable, helpful, intelligent and caring. She is 'the mother' and values domestic conviviality and her family. She is not short of anything and thoroughly enjoys all the beauty around her. The bunny represents fertility.

Advice for you: It is very important for you now to really start watching your diet. It is important that you really start losing some kilos (even) now. Take responsibility for your own health. This is not a good time to snack in front of the TV or have a snack with coffee. Really avoid the (wrong) high-calorie foods in the coming period! Also, keep working on your fitness, but not too fanatically. Nice walks and cycling will do, on the exercise bike at home if necessary.

tarot card meaningsPentacles King

Symbolism: This King is honest, consistent, leading, but also sympathetic. He holds a good position that enables him to support himself and his family and make sure they have everything they need. That he is kind-hearted is proven by the ivy that fuses with his cloak.

Advice for you: You feel good, but it is important that you also continue to pay attention to your diet and enjoy exercise because obesity is still lurking. Keep yourself in control and remain honest with yourself at all times. As much as possible, follow the dietary advice from the tarot coach cards and the accompanying nutrition chart.
