Calculating the relationship number chart (reduce)

You count your own date of birth to those of your partner (or anyone else) on it.

For example:

20-03-1960 + 14-04-1972 =

2 + 0 + 0 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 0 + 1 + 4 + 0 + 4 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 2 = 49 >

4 + 9 = 13 (note: 1 + 3 = 4!)

So the relationship number card of these two people is 13, Death, with card 4, Emperor, as the underlying card (extra advice). In this relationship, it is important to leave the past behind and not keep looking for new challenges. This can be achieved with the qualities of the Emperor: order, rule(s) and trusting each other, but not controlling!

It is wonderful to see how people can change when there is a change in their name. Take a marriage, for example. Two people have been getting along great for three years and decide to get married. The moment the woman takes the man's surname, it suddenly turns out that the relationship is not as good as initially thought after all! Gradually, the first cracks appear in the marriage and things go downhill as the years go by. Nobody actually considers the fact that the name change might affect the deterioration of the relationship.

They divorce, but... after the divorce, they appear to get along better and better and the mutual attraction has returned!

Coincidence? Or numerology after all? In any case, such cases can be called striking! However, this information is separate from the relationship number card calculation, as it is based on your birth dates and not your names. Nevertheless, I did not want to withhold this striking piece of information from you.

11.a Calculation of the first encounter number card (reduce)

You calculate the very first attraction between two people, i.e. how one comes across to each other during the first meeting(s), by the first numbers of your date of birth added together.

Were you born on 20-03-1960, and was your partner born on 14-04-1972, then the attraction number for both of you is 20 + 14 = 34 > 7, the Zegewagen. In this case, look up card 7, the Zegewagen, in the relationship number cards. This represents the situation of the first meeting(s). In this case, this card indicates that the relationship is developing at breakneck speed, 'a big leap forward'. That serious plans are quickly emerging.

Counting the two complete dates of birth Added together, we arrive at the following:

2 + 0 + 0 + 3 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 0 + 1 + 4 + 0 + 4 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 2 = 49 > 13

That is, after the initial rapid, good developments within this relationship, there are chances that major changes will come along the path of this couple, possibly forcing the relationship to end. Unless both partners can put the past behind them and are both open to a new beginning!

  1. The Magician as a relationship number card

The Magician indicates a very strong attraction. But not only the attraction is strong, but the strength of the relationship itself is also great! With willpower from both parties, this relationship can become and remain very stable, and you will both be able to make your dreams come true. The Magician represents 'magic' and there is also magic between the two of you. You are, as it were, created for each other, so many similarities are there.

Communicating is important to you and usually you are both good at it. Obstacles are removed because you are able to make clear to each other what you want and what you do not want. Equality is very important in this relationship. There is also physical attraction. Partners who have the Magician as their relationship number card can be sure of each other; a perfect basis for becoming and staying happy together!

  1. The High Priestess as a relationship number card

If the High Priestess is the outcome of your relationship number card calculation, you can count on mutual understanding and trust. There is affection and intimacy. You are also connected spiritually, so the bond between the two of you can be called very strong. Nevertheless, there can sometimes be some distance and reticence. Sometimes there is not a lot of communication between you, which is sometimes unfortunate. Nevertheless, there is good mutual trust and respect.

Your developed intuition may also ensure that few words are needed. You might also understand each other without getting too many words into all kinds of topics and situations. Your relationship is marked by mostly joyful moments and developments, and you both radiate that! Most likely, you will also have several children. This relationship offers security, warmth, insight and safety. You encourage and support each other both in a career and in creativity. Perhaps there is even a mutual interest in the occult, the spiritual and the paranormal....

  1. The Empress as a relationship number card

The Empress shows a change for the better within your relationship. The Empress indicates growth and flowering; everything becomes more fun, better and more beautiful. There is real security, warmth and certainty. Previous difficult periods you have overcome together and now you can reap the rewards of your efforts and patience. (Or this is coming soon. In that case: stay hopeful, better times will follow!)

The Empress often represents a long-term relationship and it is not uncommon for the couple who have the Empress as their relationship number card to start a family. Domesticity and cosiness also play a big role in this relationship. On the erotic front, there is no shortage.

  1. The Emperor as a relationship number card

The Emperor thinks with his mind rather than his feelings and this is also noticeable within your relationship. Certainty, constancy and reliability are very important to (one of?) you, which can sometimes make the other feel a bit restricted in his or her freedom. Beware of one of you trying to control or dominate the other too much, as this will only backfire in the long run. Making future plans is good, order and regularity can work very pleasantly for you and may even be necessary, but you can also overdo it.

In general, partners whose relationship number card is the Emperor can achieve a lot together, and there is usually a very stable relationship in which responsibility, order and rule play an important role, but remember that it can also be quite nice to leave something to chance once in a while.

  1. The High Priest as a relationship number card

The High Priest represents traditional behaviour, acting 'according to the norm'. Your love for each other grows stronger and stronger and you hope to start choosing each other once and for all. Living together, getting married and then growing old together... and then actually doing so.

The High Priest as a relationship number card represents a traditional marriage for better or worse, a solid foundation even when things are not going so well for a while. Spirituality can also play an important role within this relationship and the fact that one can learn from each other. Norms and values (and therefore fidelity) are paramount in this relationship.

  1. The Beloved as a relationship number card

This is about a great love. Maybe even the great love! However, you will face many choices in this relationship. Nevertheless, love is so strong that you will be able to work everything out together, as long as you keep thinking about everything carefully and do not act impulsively when it comes to taking important decisions.

Have faith in your intuition and in each other. If another lover is involved, listen to your heart and make your choice with your feelings; after all, your future is at stake! Nevertheless, the bond between the two partners whose relationship number card is the Beloved is generally very close and there is a very special connection.

  1. The Zegewagen as a relationship map

The Zegewagen usually represents a big step forward. The relationship improves and the Zegewagen is therefore usually the precursor to starting a family. Still, it is very important to know yourself well as well as your partner, so try to find out for yourself what you really want and don't let others 'steer' you.

The Zegewagen also represents a growing bond between two people, an advancement and often a renewing element within the relationship. Think of cohabitation or marriage, for example. A certain point is reached within the relationship where you can move on to plan for the future. A good time is ahead and you can now leave problems behind you; full steam ahead!

  1. The Force as a relationship number card

With Strength as a relationship number card, there is usually a huge sexual attraction between two lovers. The sex life will therefore be satisfying within this relationship. There is mutual trust, but stay alert to unspoken signals. When disagreements can be expressed calmly, both parties will grow closer and closer to each other. The Force usually represents a relationship that is lasting and grows stronger with age.

  1. The Hermit as a relationship number card

The Hermit as a relationship number card represents distance and caution. Sometimes it is very important to take some distance from each other and think carefully about what you want and whether you want to continue with this partner. When you are constantly on each other's lips, it is difficult to find out what exactly is wrong with this relationship. You can often get a better understanding when you distance yourself from each other: maybe you miss your partner more than you expected, but... maybe not? If in doubt, give this relationship another chance anyway. A short breather sometimes works wonders! Taking time for yourself is also very important within this relationship. Partners who have the relationship number card 'the Hermit' together are advised not to be on each other's lips all the time, but to keep doing their own things.

  1. The Wheel of Fortune as a relationship number card

The Wheel of Fortune as a relationship number card is a favourable sign. This relationship has a great chance of success and these two lovers will stay together for better or worse. Great happiness and fun times; you never want to miss each other! In love, the Rad goes hand in hand with great confidence and big important changes. This is meant to be! The only risk is being too wait-and-see.

Happiness is not something you get, you have to make it yourself, especially in love! Also, guard against bumping into the same stone twice, in other words, don't make the same mistakes over and over again, which will keep you going round in circles; that would be a shame. If these partners both continue to have sufficient freedom, there will be little talk of jealousy and/or suspicion.

  1. The Justice as relationship number card

In this relationship, it is very important that give and take are balanced. If this is the case, then this relationship can certainly last for a long time. Usually this card also represents an important choice in love, so think about what you want to go for, who you want to go for, how you would like your relationship to be, but also how you don't want it to be. How did any difficulties arise within this relationship and what was your own part in this? Above all, take responsibility for your own actions and don't blame everything on the other person. After all, you were there too!

Yet Justice is a card of permanence. The relationship marked by Justice is often enduring, and especially on a spiritual level, you have found each other completely. A good conversation is usually very much appreciated by these partners and this is well within this relationship.

  1. The Hanged as a relationship card

Often, this is not an easy relationship. There is a sense of soul connection, but usually this relationship is not ultimately permanent...In this relationship, one is sometimes somewhat submissive to the other. There is complete surrender and waiting. Try to both have equal say within the relationship, otherwise your relationship is not really equal. One partner is quick to shoot into a victim role and this is not conducive to the relationship. Accept that everyone has problems sometimes and not everything goes smoothly, but don't try to forcefully look for solutions, as this is bound to backfire.

Stay calm and look at your relationship from a different angle. Is there still a chance of things working out? Then stay calm and wait and see, but don't consciously put things off either. What can you do yourself to improve the relationship? And what is a good time for the next step? Give it some time, but don't wait too long.

The Hanged One often has to sacrifice something in order to be better off in the end; that may also be the case in this relationship. Like the Hanged One, do you go 'upside down' for a while. Maybe then your relationship and your partner will look very different from what you expected?

  1. Death as a relationship number card

This relationship will have to deal with a very big change indeed. Sadness and disappointment will result and the change will not be taken easily, but in the end it will bring a sense of freedom. For this relationship to work, it is very important to realise the following: nothing stays the same! Don't get stuck in the past and don't go back over old ground. Move on together or break up the relationship, but don't stay together if the past keeps rearing its head time and again, because then the ultimate chance of success will be nil.

If these partners decide to stay together despite a difficult, shared(?) past, both partners will undergo a true transformation. The relationship will become very close and nothing will ever be taken for granted again. In that case, marriage or cohabitation will be as it was meant to be: a togetherness for better or worse, until death do you part.

  1. The Moderation as a relationship number card

This relationship is totally equal; you seem to fit together perfectly. Sometimes the relationship gets a little out of balance and then it is good to keep an eye on you to add a little water back in to balance the relationship. You seem to fit together perfectly, as if you can complement each other perfectly. You always know how to find the right balance and restore peace again. Often, this card is also associated with reconciliation, so it is possible that you have reconciled with each other after past disagreements, or with the fact that you have met before, but there was or could not be a love affair in the past. Couples with the Moderation as a relationship number card seem to be able to sense each other perfectly, and this relationship can certainly stand up to a lot of rough handling.

  1. The Devil as a relationship number card

This relationship is not equal. There is jealousy and possessiveness. One seems to want to dominate and/or control the other, but... maybe the other doesn't even find this unpleasant! Beware of cheating and above all stay honest with each other, as the Devil tends to lie... With the Devil as the relationship number card, there is difficulty in breaking up the relationship. One often feels one cannot do without the other person or one does not know how to end the relationship. One cannot live with, but also cannot live without each other. But realise: everyone gets treated the way they get treated!

If you run a joint household, make sure your money is well spent. Perhaps a lot of money is spent on stimulants, there are debts or other financial problems. This too can have a nasty impact on your relationship. It is not an easy relationship. If you are thinking of breaking up this relationship, but you don't know how, remember that there is always an option! Under no circumstances let yourself be 'trapped', not physically, but not mentally either.

  1. The Tower as a relationship number card

This is not a positive card in relation to relationships. Boundaries are crossed and there is regular turmoil. It often involves a relationship that involves love at first sight (sometimes with a third party being let down), but this is usually followed by the infamous flash of insight associated with this card, the Tower. Trust is usually far away when two people together have the Tower as their relationship number card. One gets hurt or finds out the truth in a nasty way.

Often in relationships, this card represents sudden events or changes, and although the foundation of the Tower remains standing after a collapse, it is still a very insecure card. Sometimes it even represents obsessive behaviour or a sudden, intense infatuation that can lead to cheating. Of course, this does not always have to mean the end of the relationship and sudden changes can also be of a positive nature. Think, for example, of an unexpected promotion or an unexpected move. Or think of the insight gained after a slip-up that turned out not to be worth it afterwards. Still, this will always be a relationship of turmoil and unexpected events that do not give both partners peace of mind, but some relationships benefit from this, depending on the nature of both partners.

  1. The Star as a relationship number card

With the Star as a relationship number card, you are in the right place. There is great love, gentleness and hope for the future, sometimes after a more difficult period or a less pleasant experience in the past. You are clear with each other and there is almost no better basis for a relationship: honesty, selflessness, openness and you are able to offer each other comfort in more difficult times. Very important with the Star as a relationship number card is that you give without demanding anything in return. In this way, love remains spontaneous and as it is meant to be: pure! There is good hope for the future, a relationship that can last well into the future. There is also mutual respect and mutual attraction. Within this relationship, there will be periods of falling in love with each other again or getting to know each other in a different way after years. Suddenly, you learn something again from your partner or see something in him or her that you had not seen in that way before.

  1. The Moon as a relationship number chart

Something is not quite right in this relationship. There are half-truths, illusions, jealousy and fear of a shared future. Keep acting on your feelings and if there is something you don't quite trust or don't like, even if you are not sure why you have these feelings, talk about it or end the relationship.

Partners who have the Moon as their relationship number card together are sometimes unable to discuss their feelings with each other, which is unfortunate. The Moon brings a lot of uncertainty and, unfortunately, very little stability.

You may be living in a dream world or in your own world and understand very little about your partner, despite the fact that you love them or think you love them. Because there is little communication with each other, there may be many secrets in this relationship, secrets from each other or from the outside world. Problems from the past are difficult to resolve because people run away from them.

If you have the Moon as your relationship number card, try to be as open and honest with each other as possible and don't run away from old fears or problems, but confront and tackle the problem at its root. Often it is more the fear of the fear than the actual problem. If you don't do this, then this relationship is unlikely to last and will eventually break down into illusions and/or lies.

  1. The Sun as a relationship number card

The Sun is a very positive relationship number card indeed. This card represents: warmth, love, union (often even marriage with children!), joy and growth. Here is a successful relationship where both parties have worked hard. Love has triumphed here and will continue to triumph. This couple knows how to have a good time together and have fun. There may have been some doubts at times, but that is actually normal; everyone goes through that period sometimes. Nevertheless, these people are a great fit for each other and there is often the intention to start a family together. Physical contact is important, both with each other and with the children: cuddling, kissing and showing each other affection. A loving union with a bright future ahead!

  1. The Judgement as a relationship number card

In love, this card represents a new opportunity. You have probably been given a new opportunity together or a new opportunity is coming. Your current relationship is likely to be revived after a good and honest conversation. If you act forgiving and understanding towards each other, this relationship could still turn out very well! The love is mutual, even though there may have been doubts or even a (temporary?) break-up. Your honesty towards each other will be rewarded and you will gain more appreciation for each other. You can enjoy each other more and all the beauty around you, partly because finances are starting to look better. A new phase is dawning in every area, and it is mostly positive! There will be more peace and better communication, which are inextricably linked. You will be able to build a bright future together. Much has been learnt from the past; this will definitely benefit this relationship.

  1. The World as a relationship number card

The World as relationship number card represents success in love, consummation and homecoming. You truly feel at home with each other and can be totally yourself with the other person. Perhaps a difficult time is behind you, but you have reached your goal together and overcome all difficulties. It is time to enjoy each other and the future. A whole new phase is beginning for both of you! There is not only a physical bond, but certainly also a spiritual bond. You belong together! Often an important change takes place within the relationship with the World as the relationship number card. Think of a marriage, a birth or another important change like a move to a bigger house, a special trip that makes you grow even closer together or anything else that can bring about a big but good change within your relationship. This card represents a long-term commitment, and even if this love is still tender, there is good hope for the future. This could be something very special!

  1. (0.) The Fool as relationship number card

Lovers who have the Fool as a relationship number card together may have met in a somewhat 'unpredictable' way or have come together as lovers under circumstances that are not average. This relationship will feel like a challenge because those around you may not agree with your 'choice of partner' or the way you got together. It is a relationship that can go either way; the future is really still open and anything can happen. Freedom is important within this relationship, though. Perhaps there is a 'free' relationship or the possibility that one of the partners is bi-sexual. It is also possible that it is a long-distance relationship, that one of the partners spends a lot of time abroad, living or working. Either way, it is certainly not a thirteen-in-a-dozen relationship and anything can still happen! There may not be a definite commitment and you may not have to count on eternal fidelity.
